When I read the script of Memory Lane I was in love. And to be honoust, I still am. This has been such a nice adventure with director Jelle de Jonge, actors Martin van Waardenberg en Lenie Breederveld and the crew Inspired by the beautiful photography of Harry Gruyaert we set off and made a trip from the Netherlands through Belgium and northern France to end up in Spain. We wanted everything to feel like our characters were really there. So, no VFX or background projection, just plain and honoust ‘being there’ and doing it as a group. We did everything we could to make a movie that we ourselves and the whole team would one to see. It’s very few that you can truly say that everyone is working in the same direction, but this was truly one of those.
